Clock Set

This mode lets the user program the date and time settings for the real-time clock, as well as select a Daylight-Saving Time option. Use normal program mode navigation:

  • Press and release the Function button to step forward through the items.
  • Press and release the Exit Cool button to step backward through the items.
  • A double beep sounds when you’ve returned to the beginning again.
  • Exit at any time by pressing and holding the Function button.
  • The control auto-exits if no buttons have been pressed for 60 seconds.

Note: The order of items has been changed starting in version 3.00 to put the date settings before the time settings. Otherwise, if you set the time first then set the date, the new date might toggle you into or out of Daylight-Saving Time and will silently bump the time you just set forward or backward by an hour.

As always, anytime you change the Daylight-Saving Time setting, you should circle around and check the time to see if you need to adjust it. The following steps are available in Clock Set programming mode:

Note: Changing the Month, Date, or Year setting can immediately change the real time clock “hours” value if a Daylight-Saving Time option is active and the change in date toggles into or out of Daylight-Saving Time operation. Always check the time again after making a change to Month, Date, or Year.

Current Date value (day of the month) for the real time clock. Enter a new date value, calculator style, using number buttons 1..10.

Current Year value (last 2 digits of the year) for the real time clock. Enter a new year value, calculator style, using number buttons 1..10.

Set Daylight Saving Time (DST) option.

  • Use #8 button to step through options: OFF, USA, EURO, MEX, AUST, NZLD, CHIL.
  • Press and hold #13 or #14 to view the DST start and end dates for the current selection.

Note: Changing the DST setting can immediately change the real time clock hours value if the new DST setting toggles into or out of Daylight-Saving Time operation. Always check the time again after making a change to the DST setting.
