Checking and Replacing Filter Pan O-Rings

To avoid severe burns when pouring hot oil into vat, wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and take care to avoid splashing.

Using the correct Henny Penny O-rings is vital. Order them from your technician or distributor. To prevent oil leaking, and to keep filtering process operating properly, the filter pan o-rings should be inspected for nicks and tears at least every 3 months. Visually check the 3 o-rings on the tube of the filter pan for any cracks or breaks and replace if necessary.

  1. To replace o-ring, use a small, flat-bladed screwdriver, pry up on o-ring and pull off of end of tube.
  2. Roll new o-ring into notch on tube.
  3. Lubricate o-rings on filter tube with fresh, cold oil & push filter pan into position.
