Changing the Filter Envelope

To avoid equipment damage, do not clean stainless steel with abrasive tools, abrasive cleaners or corrosive chemicals. |
In order to assure good oil pumping performance, the filter envelope should be changed at least once per day. Stores open 24 hours a day, the envelope should be changed twice a day.
- Power switch may be OFF or ON for this procedure.
- Press down on the latch to release the drain pan.
- Pull the pan out and remove lid.
- Remove the crumb basket and empty any crumbs in the basket. Then, set basket aside.
- Lift up the Plug and Play assembly.
- Remove the filter screen and the clip holding the filter paper.
- Gently slide the filter paper from the screen. Take care not to get crumbs in the screen. Discard filter paper.
- Slide a filter envelope on to the filter screen so the plug is protruding through the center of the hole.

Fold-over the end of the filter envelope, and then slide a filter clip over the end. Ensure the handle faces the center plug.

Place the filter screen in the bottom of the filter pan with the plug side up.

Align the hole in the pickup tube with the filter screen plug, and then press down.

With the filter screen attached, position the pick-up tube so that the guide slide in to the holder bracket notches.

Press down on the pick-up tube to ensure it is fully seated in the bracket and push down on the plug to ensure it is fully seated onto filter screen.

Replace the crumb basket into the drain pan.

Replace the lid onto filter pan. Move the lid back and forth to ensure it is placed correctly. It should be captured on the pan via brackets on the underside of the lid.

Slide the filter pan back under the fryer until the lid latch latches into place.
NOTE: The lid may need to be pushed rearward for proper latch engagement.
- Fryer is now ready for normal operation.
