In the event of a system failure, an error code displays and a constant tone is heard. To silence the tone, press any button.

Check oil level in JIB (oil reservoir).

CPU TOO HOT

Control board overheatingTurn switch to OFF position, then back to ON. If E-4 persists, the control board is getting too hot. Check the louvers on each side of the unit for obstructions.

FRYER TOO HOT

Oil overheatingTurn switch to OFF position, then back to ON. If E-5 persists, the heating circuits and temperature probe should be checked.

FRYER TEMP SENSOR

Temperature probe openTurn switch to OFF position, then back to ON. If E-6a persists, the temperature probe should be checked.

E-6b

FRYER TEMP SENSOR

Temperature probe shortedTurn switch to OFF position, then back to ON. If E-6b persists, the temperature probe should be checked.

HIGH LIMIT TRIP

High limitReset the high limit by manually pushing up on the red reset button. If the high limit does not reset, the high limit must be replaced.

DRAIN IS OPEN

Drain switch failureClose the drain using the drain valve handle. If E-15 persists, check the drain microswitch.

LEVEL SENSOR FAILED

Level sensor openTurn switch to OFF position and then back to ON. If display still indicates a failed sensor, have the connections checked on the control board. Have the sensor checked and replaced if necessory.

PROTECTION SENSOR FAILED

Frypot protection sensor openTurn switch to OFF position and then back to ON. If display still indicates a failed sensor, have the connections checked on the control board. Have the sensor checked and replaced if necessory.
E-25Wrong or faulty elements or wiring problem

Have electrical supply, wiring, and elements checked. NOTE: Because of the seriousness of this error code, turn the POWER switch off and back on to cancel.

HEAT AMPS ARE LOCKED ON

Faulty contactors or PCB

Have the contactors and PC board checked. NOTE: This error code could be displayed even with the POWER switch turned off. Unplug fryer or shut-off the wall circuit breaker to disconnect electrical power to fryer.

Programming failure

Turn switch to OFF position, then back to ON. If error persists, try to reinitialize the control (refer to Special Program Mode). If error code persists, replace the control board.

  • AMP sensor in backwards
  • Faulty PCB

Press the power button to vat off and back on again, if E-47 persists do the following:

  • If the Wait or Ready lights, DO NOT light-up when the 8888’s are displayed, have I/O board replaced.
  • Have positions of amp sensors checked.
  • Have control panel replaced.
E-48Input system errorHave PC board replaced.
E-60AIF PC board not communicating with control PC boardPress power button to turn vat off, wait 15 seconds and turn back on again. If E-60 persists, have connector between the PCB’s checked. Replace AIF PCB or control PCB board, if necessary.

PWR SW OR WIRES FAILED

  • Faulty POWER switch or switch wiring
  • Faulty I/O board

Have POWER switch checked, along with its wiring. Have I/O board checked.

24 VOLT FUSE

24-VAC fuse on I/O open or 14-pin cable connection issue

  • Have the 14-pin cable connector or fryer checked for a short to ground in components such as the drain switch or high limit and wiring.
  • 24-VAC fuse on I/O board open; check for shorted component in 24-volt circuit. (i.e., hi limit, drain switch, air switch).
