It is recommended that a 30 mA rated protective device such as a residual current circuit breaker (RCCB), or ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI), be used on the circuit.

The data plate, located on the side of the unit on the MPC-21L & 222, specifies the correct electrical supply. The unit requires a grounded receptacle with a separate electrical line protected by a fuse or circuit breaker of the proper rating. Electrical code may also require GFCI protection.
The units are supplied with a 4 foot (274.3 cm) power cord.
