Cooking with a Dedicated Display

A dedicated display means, cook settings for one product are set to a specific vat. One product name always displays for a particular vat.

  1. Once out of the Melt Cycle, LOW TEMP flashes until the setpoint temperature has been reached. No cook cycles can be started while “LOW TEMP” displays. Once the set-point temperature has been reached, the product name now displays, ex: NUGGETS, and product now can be placed in the oil.

  2. Press Timer button 1 or 2.

  3. The name of the product cooking (ex: “NUG”) and the timer counting down display.

  4. When cook cycle is complete, an alarm sounds and “PULL” displays.

  5. Press the timer button under PULL to stop the alarm, and lift basket from vat.

  6. If a Quality Timer (hold timer) has been programmed, the hold time starts automatically when the user presses the timer button to end the cook cycle. While the quality timer counts down, the three-digit product abbreviation followed by “Qn”, where “n” is the number of minutes remaining displays. ex: “FRY” / “Q5” / “FRY” / “Q5” / “FRY” / “Q4”, etc.

    At the end of the timer countdown, the control beeps and “QUAL” followed by the three-digit product name display: “QUAL” / “FRY” / “QUAL”/ “FRY”. Press the timer button to cancel the timer.

To change the dedicated product, press the desired product button, ex: Product button 3 and “<<<< >>>>” displays. Then, press and hold (for 5 seconds) the Timer button 1 or 2 for the vat to be used. The product name now displays, ex “HASH BRN”.

Cooking with a Multi-Product Display

A multi-product display means, a product must be selected before starting a cook cycle in a particular vat.

  1. Once out of the Melt Cycle, LOW TEMP flashes until the setpoint temperature has been reached. Then, “---- ----” displays.

  2. Press a product button, for ex: Product button 1 and product now can be placed in the oil.

  3. “FR FRIES” displays. If “<<<< >>>>” displays, oil temperature is not correct for that product. Either select another product, or press and hold Timer button 1 or 2 for 5 seconds.

  4. Press Timer button 1 or 2.

  5. When cook cycle is complete, the alarm sounds and “PULL” displays.

  6. Press the timer button under “PULL”, to stop alarm. Then, “---- ----” displays or, if a quality timer (hold time) has been programmed, the timer counting down displays.
