Operating the ODS 100

To avoid severe burns and equipment damage:

  • Use PPE.

  • Ensure filter pain is empty prior to removing from unit.

  • Allow oil to cool to 100°F (38°C) or below before draining. Pumping hot oil through the unit damages the pump over time.

  • Use only an approved oil shuttle to transport oil to be discarded.

Burn Risk

To avoid burns, use PPE when connecting to or disconnecting from oil disposal unit.

To avoid personal injury, ensure cover is in place before moving shuttle.

  1. Roll disposal shuttle to front of fryer and disconnect shuttle hose from either the male or female fitting, depending upon the matching fitting on fryer.

Disconnect the faucet on 2 & 3 well 320 and 340 series fryers.

  2. Connect hose to fryer.

  3. Drain oil into filter pan and then close drain.

  4. Open filter valve (when applicable) and then press the power switch to the PUMP position.

  5. Once pan is empty, turn switch to OFF.

  6. Using a dry cloth or glove, remove the hose from fryer.

  7. Roll oil disposal shuttle to disposal container.

  8. Turn thumb screw on bracket to loosen pump assembly.

  9. Swivel pump assembly over disposal container and tighten thumb screw on bracket.

  10. Turn pump handle rapidly (fast) in order to prime the pump and to get oil to flow through pump.

  11. Once shuttle is empty, loosen thumb screw on bracket and swivel pump assembly back over lower unit and tighten handle.
