Unpacking the Appliance

This chapter outlines the unpacking and assembly of the fryer to prepare for use. Read and follow the instructions carefully.

To avoid electrical shock or property damage, disconnect power before installing or servicing equipment.A qualified technician must perform the installation.

Heavy Object

Take care when moving the fryer to prevent personal injury. The fryer weighs approximately: 877 lbs (398 kg)

Shock Hazard

To avoid property damage, do not use puncture unit with tools during unpacking.

To avoid personal injury, all counterweights must be installed and secured before attempting to unlatch the lid.

NOTICE -

Any shipping damage should be noted in the presence of the delivery agent and signed prior to his or her departure. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

NOTICE -

Unit should not be operated using an external timer or remote control system.

Carefully remove the shipping crate and packing.

  1. Cut and remove the plastic bands from the packing box.

  2. Remove the packing box lid, and then lift the remaining packing box sides off the appliance.

  3. Remove the 4 corner packing supports.

  4. Cut the stretch film from around the carrier/rack box and remove it from the top of the lid.

  5. Cut, remove and dispose of the metal bands holding the fryer to the pallet.
